Process Engineer, High-Speed Bonding Line
Skills Used: Mechanical Engineering Research, Tensile Tests, Technical Writing, Information Visualization
During my undergrad I had an internship at Kimberly-Clark,, studying and improving their high-speed bonding line. The title was of Process Engineer, but the basic roles and responsibilities included creating product pieces to test for their tensile and performative strengths. The goal was to determine if the company could switch between two adhesives, one which was cheaper but didn't bond as well, and the current version. The results were positive, and if they were implemented could save the company 2 million in yearly costs.
